90 Day Protective Style Challenge

90 DAY CHALLENGESince I signed up for the 90 day Body Transformation Challenge on the 15th of March 2016, I figured I should also do a 90 day Protective Style Challenge.  So I went on to do some research on how to prepare for this just to see how much work it would entail.

Recently I’d been using my wigs as my protective style, but this time I’m trying out different kinds of braid styles.

I went on to prepare for my first protective style of the challenge with the following steps:

  1. Washed my hair using TRESemme Naturals Shampoo
  2. Protein treatment using AfroBonatics – Repairing & Strengthening Protein Treatment.  I left this on for an hour (no heat used) and rinsed my hair.
  3. While my hair was damp I moisturised using
    1. Dark & Lovely’s Moisture Plus Satin Oil
    2. Unrefined Shea Butter
    3. Jamaican Black Castor Oil
  4. Stretched my hair using the African Threading method.

I will keep my braids for about 6 weeks (washing them every 2 weeks).

Will keep you posted on what happens next.

Your hair looks great….This is great…doing a protective challenge will help you hair to grow a lot and protect it during the spring months
I have been working protective styles myself here is my two choices

Let me know what you think.

  2. Too many have no clue that shampoos that grow your hair faster and longer (obviously with no sulfates, no parabens, no DEA) are even a thing. People are now able to attain longer hair and experience more possibilities. Certainly worth considering.

Whether you’re looking into alopecia, damaged hair, avoiding scalp disorders, hair growth, hair and scalp health generally, very similar ideas actualize.

As a general rule, you want to avoid hair products and treatments that include chemicals such as parabens, DEA or sulfates.

What’s beneficial for your hair is beneficial for your skin also.

It goes without saying the content above is spot on for so many reasons. It steers away from the usual pitfalls and errors most fall into- utilizing bad alternatives. Greatly appreciated!
